Dalyan was originally a fishing village which is situated on the river which flows from the Koycegiz Lake to the sea. In later years it has expanded to become a tourist destination. The area surrounding Dalyan is a protected nature reserve which limits development to some extent. The outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding area is Dalyan’s attraction for most visitors, along with the charm of the town itself and the river. Location wise it lies between Marmaris and Fethiye, and less than half an hour from Dalaman airport.

Dalyan is situated 83 kilometers away from the center of Muğla. Geographically positioned close to Marmaris and Fethiye, reaching Dalyan involves a 12-kilometer journey off the main road. Notably, Dalyan is also close to the international Dalaman Airport, approximately 28 kilometers away.

Another method to reach Dalyan is by intercity bus travel. With bus services, you can arrive in the Ortaca district of Muğla and then take minibusses frequently departing for Dalyan.
